There are two species of crocodiles in Australia, the Saltwater and Freshwater species, and only the "salties" inhabit the Daintree River.  There are approximately 70 of them in the river.

If you’re interested in seeing one of these dinosaur-like creatures up close, take a river cruise on the Daintree River as it’s the best way of viewing these fascinating animals in the wild. The river guides know many of their hiding places and their habits, but there are factors which make it easier or harder to see them.

The river cruises are a beautiful, relaxing way to see the wildlife and learn about the fascinating mangrove ecosystems and if the crocodiles are hard to see, you may see a snake or a frog or some stunning Kingfishers.

A short trip from Cairns – and an excellent day out. Speak to Greg or David as he can assist you  with further tour details including how to get there and what deals we can arrange for you.
